The BIRT Interactive Viewer can be evaluated and used in different configurations.

Option 1: As a Java component within your application server where it adds interactivity to any on-demand Eclipse or Actuate BIRT reports.

Option 2: Same as above option, but with the BIRT Deployment Kit that provides an interface for browsing and organizing reports.

These options are delivered as part of the war file for the Actuate Java Components package.

Option 3: With the BIRT iServer Express report server, providing interactivity for both on-demand and batch reports.
