Submit Your BIRT-based Applications to the Marketplace

Selling or distributing BIRT based applications, services and other related materials on the BIRT Exchange Marketplace (BEM) is easy, as described below:

What kind of applications can be submitted?

The BIRT Exchange Marketplace is meant to be the commercial hub for all things BIRT. So if your application is built in BIRT, extends BIRT, integrates BIRT or includes BIRT in any way, then its valid for the BEM.

How does this benefit you?

  • Applications available in the BEM are available for download (trial/shareware) and also for sale.
  • Applications may be offered at no cost or can be priced as you wish.
  • Applications can be hosted for download on the BEM preferred) or the download/purchase links can lead back to your own website.Applications sold from the BEM (using the BEM transaction gateway)will have a fee associated with them to cover Actuate's costs for managing the sales transactions.

How to submit an application?

  • You need to be a registered BIRT Exchange member to start the process. Click Here to Register
  • You can begin the submission process for listing your applications on the Marketplace starting with the Application Submission which will lead you through a series of input screens that collect information and other materials about your application. All required materials must be included to complete a submission. The submission process is based on multiple stages and you can complete it in multiple visits if you find that you are missing a required component.
  • Every application submitted goes through a quality check/approval process. Once approved your applications will be listed in the Applications Showcase area of the Marketplace with other partner applications. All your approved applications will also be linked to your Partner Showcase page for ease of access.
