BIRT Deployment Kit is a lightweight J2EE report repository with a web front-end for users to browse, select, and run BIRT reports on demand. It embeds the Eclipse BIRT Engine and its APIs. It can be implemented stand alone as an End User Reporting Portal or embedded in an application. BIRT Deployment Kit is compatible with BIRT reports developed by any BIRT designer and with reports modified by the BIRT Interactive Viewer.

Report Browsing: The BIRT Deployment Kit provides a web front-end for users to browse through a folder-based hierarchy of reports.

Parameter Pages: BIRT Deployment Kit generates pages based on the report design from which the user specifies parameter values.

Localization: BIRT Deployment Kit allows the end user to select their locale in order to internationalize the user interface.
