BIRT iServer Express is a BIRT report server that deploys, manages, schedules, secures, runs and distributes BIRT reports. It embeds the Eclipse BIRT Engine and Java APIs. It is compatible with reports developed with any BIRT Designer including BIRT Studio. It also works with the BIRT Viewer and BIRT Interactive Viewer. It can be deployed as a stand-alone report server or as a behind-the-scenes reporting service for other applications.

Efficient Administration: Jobs, files, roles, notification groups and users can be managed via a web-based interface.
Report and Folder Security: Multi-level access permissions on reports and folders can be set on a user basis or role basis.
Administrator Scheduling: Administrators can schedule reports based on calendar, defined events or application business rules.
End User Scheduling: Users can schedule their reports to run once or on a recurring basis with just a few clicks of the mouse.
Notifications and Delivery: When a scheduled report has finished running, users can be emailed a completion notification or a message with the report attached.
Report Versioning: Versions of report designs and output can be saved and managed in order to maintain historical information.
