This PPT gives an overview of the e.Spreadsheet Callback class and tips on how to get started using it to extend your e.Spreadsheet Designs programmatically.

The e.Spreadsheet callback class gives report developers a way to have their reports run some custom Java code. It is useful for extending e.Spreadsheet report designs to do things that the e.Spreadsheet Designer GUI is not capable of describing or tasks that are better described programmatically. From the callback class, report developers can call out to the e.Spreadsheet API or IDAPI.

This Powerpoint presentation gives an introduction to the e.Spreadsheet callback class, especially as it used with e.Spreadsheet reports on iPortal workgroup mode and the iServer. It includes sample code snippets and step-by-step instructions (with screenshots) for adding a callback class to your e.Spreadsheet report. It also provides tips & tricks for debugging callback classes.
