Technical Support for Eclipse BIRT and the Actuate BIRT Product Line
Phone-based support is packaged in two annual subscription plans. Both plans give you support coverage Monday – Friday, 9am – 6pm in your local time zone.
A support case is opened for each discrete technical problem or symptom, which we call a support incident. The difference between the two support plans is in the number of incidents included, and in the service levels provided by the plan. Silver Support provides unlimited incidents, while Bronze Support includes 5 incidents that must be used within the year. For each incident, you can contact Actuate support as many times as needed by either email or phone. Both support plans include indemnification. (Note that additional support plans are available for Actuate products. Contact us for details).
Supported platforms for the BIRT Designers include Windows 2000, 2003 Server, Vista and XP Pro. Support for the BIRT Engine is available on Windows 2003 Server, Vista and XP Pro, as well as Red Hat Enterprise Linux AS 4 and 5, Red Hat Enterprise Linux WS 3.0 and 4.0, SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 9 and 10, Solaris 10 and IBM AIX 5L v5.3. For full details on supported environments, please refer to the Supported Environments for BIRT Deployments.
Note that while we have support centers in 13 different countries, our engineers who support Eclipse BIRT speak English.
