Ad-Hoc & Interactive Reporting Products

The BIRT product line includes two products for end users, one for them to create their own ad hoc reports populated with data they choose and one to reformat and rearrange existing reports in order to perform analysis.

Business users can use the BIRT Report Designer for End Users to create new reports and queries using report templates created with one of the four developer-oriented BIRT Report Designers. The Interactive Viewer for End Users can be used to polish and rearrange an existing BIRT report developed with any of the BIRT Report Designers.

for End Users

The BIRT Designer for End Users is an AJAX-based tool accessed from a web browser for business users to access the data they need and create BIRT reports without direct IT intervention, but within IT control. It is built on the BIRT report engine and can edit any BIRT report.

Interactive Viewer
for End Users

The Interactive Viewer for End Users presents users with an intuitive, AJAX-based UI that requires no explanation or training. It is a web-based report modification tool with which end users can change BIRT report formatting; hide, add, sort, move and calculate data; and create charts.
