The Deployment Kit can generate unique BIRT and spreadsheet report output for specific individuals based on data parameters, language or locale.

Parameter-driven Reports

The Deployment Kit automatically generates multiple versions of a report from a single design based on data values.

• Automatically Generated Parameter Input Pages - creates pages from the report design at run-time from which the user specifies parameters; for example, dynamic pick lists generated from a database or calendar controls.
• Dynamic cascading parameters - supports nested parameter specification; for example, specifying a state and then a city within that state.
• Null parameters - allows user to indicate that a parameter contains no value thus distinguishing between a null or not specified value and a blank value.
• Autosuggest parameters - displays a dynamic list of values generated based on the characters typed into the edit box by the user.

Localization

The web user interface for the Deployment Kit allows the end user to select their locale in order to internationalize the user interface and the reports.

• Report Localization - adjusts the way numbers and letters are displayed and the direction in which text is displayed based on the locale.
• User Interface Localization - presents the user interface in English, French, Spanish, Italian, German, Korean, Japanese, Hong Kong - Chinese, PRC - Chinese, and Thai.
